Hyderabad: A 50-year-old man was murdered and the body was left in a car at Trimulgherry on Monday night.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, a resident of Alwal. Locals found the car parked in an open ground at Trimulgherry on Monday night and alerted the police, who on inspection found the body on the front seat of the car.
“There is an injury on the head and we suspect he could have been hit on the head resulting in his death,” ACP Begumpet P Naresh Reddy said.
Relatives told the police that Bhaskar Reddy had left his house on Monday morning reportedly with Rs 10 lakh saying he was going to the registration office on some work. “It is not clear why he came to the spot.” the ACP said. The police learnt that Bhaskar Reddy was having some disputes with one Abraham and Narendar over a property at Alwal.
“The case is being investigated from all angles,” the ACP said, adding that footage from CCTV cameras in the area was being examined while phone conversations of the victim too were being checked. One person was reportedly detained for questioning in connection with the murder.
