Man sentenced to 10 years for duping woman with false marriage promise in Asifabad
After receiving the woman’s complaint on November 20, 2021, then-Wankidi Inspector Sudhakar registered a case against Vinesh and initiated an investigation. He submitted a charge sheet to the court, supporting it with substantial evidence and eyewitness testimonies to prove the accused’s involvement.
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A court in Asifabad on Friday sentenced a man to 10 years of imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs 25,000 for duping a woman under the guise of marriage three years ago.
District Sessions Court principal judge MV Ramesh gave the verdict finding Nageshe Vinesh from Tejapur village guilty of cheating a woman from the same village under the pretext of marrying her.
Based on a complaint received from the woman on November 20 in 2021, the then Wankidi Inspector Sudhakar registered a case against Vinesh and took up investigations. He filed a charge sheet before the court and established involvement of the accused person by furnishing relevant pieces of evidence and producing eye witnesses.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police DV Srinivas Rao commended the then Asifabad DSP A Karunakar, Sudhakar and court liaisoning officer Ram Singh for securing the conviction.
