Man gets 25-year rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting minor in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A special court on Wednesday sentenced a man to 25 years of rigorous imprisonment in a child sexual assault case reported in Kamatipura in 2023.
The convict, Kali Aman Kumar alias Akshay (29), was found guilty under the POCSO Act for sexually abusing a 10-year-old boy and threatening him to remain silent.
According to police, Akshay had lured the child into his house on the pretext of watching television and subjected him to repeated abuse over four months in 2023.
The incident came to light after the boy’s father lodged a complaint with the police in December 2023.
Based on a complaint, the Kamatipura police booked a case and arrested him.
