Nirmal: Man sentenced to four year jail term for raping minor girl

Adilabad Principal District and Session and POCSO court judge pronounced the verdict awarding the term against Ellula Chandu after finding him guilty for raping a 15-year-old girl from the same village.

Nirmal: A court in Adilabad on Thursday sentenced a man to four years of imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs 5,000 on charges of raping a minor girl three years ago.

Adilabad Principal District and Session and POCSO court judge pronounced the verdict awarding the term against Ellula Chandu from Dyangapur village in Nirmal Rural mandal after finding him guilty for raping a 15-year-old girl from the same village on March 3 in 2021.


Based on a complaint received from the mother of the girl, the then Nirmal Rural Sub-Inspector Soma Suman had registered a case, while the then DSP Upender Reddy took up investigation.
