Jogulamba Gadwal: A 43-year-old man was brutally murdered by two unidentified assailants at Kanchapadu village in Undavalli mandal of Alampur constituency on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Krishnaiah Goud.
The incident occurred on the outskirts of the village when Krishnaiah Goud was consuming alcohol. The attackers allegedly threw chilli powder into his eyes before assaulting him with knives. He collapsed on the spot and died, police said.
After being alerted, the police rushed to the scene and conducted an inquiry. A case was registered and investigation is under way. Preliminary reports suggest that old rivalry and financial disputes may have led to the attack.
