Hyderabad: One person was hacked to death in broad daylight at Mailardevpally in the south of the city on Thursday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Asad Khan (40), a resident of Mailardevpally. According to reports, Asad Khan was going on a motorcycle when a group of persons waylaid him and attacked him with lethal weapons near the Indian Function Hall on Shastripuram road.
Khan was rushed to Osmania General Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
The Mailardevpally police, who have started investigation, said Khan was previously arrested for his involvement in the murder of one Amjad Khan at Shastripuram. Police suspect that relatives or friends of Amjad Khan might be behind his murder.
