Man hacks friend during brawl over money in Hyderabad
The victim, identified as Sonu (27), who migrated to the city from Uttar Pradesh about six years ago, was working at a carpentry shop in Ram Nagar.
Hyderabad: A man was murdered by his friend, allegedly over a financial issue, at Musheerabad on Thursday late night.
The victim, identified as Sonu (27), who migrated to the city from Uttar Pradesh about six years ago, was working at a carpentry shop in Ram Nagar.
Police said Sonu had borrowed a hand loan of Rs.2,000 from Altaf Khan, who works at a mutton shop in Musheerabad. Even after repeated requests to repay, Sonu kept postponing the payback. This angered Khan.
On Thursday night, the duo while having liquor had an argument over the same issue, following which Khan took a butcher’s knife from the shop and hacked Sonu on the neck, killing him on the spot.
Khan later surrendered before the police.
The Musheerabad police are investigating.
