Man jailed for harassing actress near Charminar in Hyderabad
A Hyderabad court sentenced a 40-year-old man to seven days in jail for harassing a Bengali actress near Charminar. The accused was quickly arrested after the victim filed a complaint, and the court delivered a prompt judgment.

Hyderabad:Ā A local court sentenced a man to jail for harassing a noted Bengali actress who was on a city visit and came shopping near the iconic Charminar.
The First Judicial Special Court at Nampally has awarded seven days of imprisonment to the man identified as Abdul Wajid (40).
According to the police, the actress from West Bengal had arrived at Charminar with her family on the evening of May 2. While she was browsing items sold on the footpaths around the monument, the convict, who is from Tolichowki, stalked her and behaved in an inappropriate manner.
Disturbed by the incident, the actress approached the Charminar police and lodged a complaint. Inspector T Rambabu registered a case and quickly traced and nabbed Wajid. He was later produced before the court, which conducted a prompt hearing and pronounced the sentence.
