Hyderabad: A local court in LB Nagar on Monday sentenced a man to four years of rigourous imprisonment for kidnapping a minor girl from Saroornagar in 2015. The court also imposed a fine of Rs.10,000 on him.
The convicted person, A Shravan Kumar (20), a car driver from Lingojiguda, was stalking the 13-year-old girl and kidnapped her while she was on her way to school. He took her in a car and married her in Karmanghat. Later, out of fear, he abandoned her near her house and threatened her not to inform her parents. Based on a complaint, Saroornagar police arrested Shravan Kumar.
