Hyderabad: A local court on Friday sentenced a milk vendor to three years of imprisonment in a seven-year-old attempt-to-murder case of a woman customer. It also imposed fine of Rs 1,000 on him.

In July 2014, the convict, V Balaraj (23), went to the 50-year-old customer’s house at East Kakatiya Nagar in Neredmet and attempted to kill her by strangulation. Her neighbours rushed to her rescue.

Based on a complaint, the Neredmet police booked a case and arrested Balraj.
