Man killed by brother-in-law over financial issues at Mailardevpally

The victim, Mohd Saif, a resident of Vattepally, had given a hand loan to his relative, Ismail, a few months ago. However, disputes arose over the issue of repayment of amount.

Hyderabad: A man was murdered allegedly by his brother-in-law over financial issues at Mailardevpally early on Sunday.

The victim, Mohd Saif, a resident of Vattepally, had given a hand loan to his relative, Ismail, a few months ago. However, disputes arose over the issue of repayment of amount.


On Saturday night, Saif called Ismail to Vattepally area to discuss the issue. “Around 4 am, on pretext of having tea, Ismail took Saif on to the road and took a boulder and hurled on the victim,” said ACP Rajendranagar, P Srinivas.

On receipt of the information, the police reached the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination. The suspect was later apprehended and is being interrogated. Saif, was married 10 years ago and is survived by his wife and four children.
