Hyderabad: A man was murdered, allegedly by a relative accusing him of having an extra-marital affair with the latter’s wife at Kukatpally.
The victim, Srikanth (25), a resident of Kaithalapur in Kukatpally was a close relative of the suspect, Srisailam, with both being milk vendors.
According to the police, on October 2, Srikanth went out on work, but did not return, following which a missing complaint was lodged by his relatives at Kukatpally police station and a case was booked. While investigation was on, his body was found in the bushes in a secluded spot in Kaithalapur.
“During investigation, CCTV footage from various spots was collected and it was found that a day before the murder, Srikanth was last seen with Srisailam. He was taken into custody and he confessed to the killing,” police said, adding that Srisailam, who suspected Srikanth of having an affair with his wife, picked up frequent fights with him.
He had called Srikanth for tea and took him to the secluded spot where he attacked him with an iron rod, killing him on the spot.
