Man kills 9-year-old son before dying by suicide in Mancherial
A man allegedly killed his nine-year-old differently abled son before dying by suicide in Rampur village of Mancherial district. Police said he was distressed over health issues. The bodies were shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem
Mancherial: A man allegedly murdered his nine-year-old differently abled son by slitting his throat before dying by suicide using the same method at Rampur village in Jannaram mandal on Sunday.
Police said Palagani Bhumaiah killed his son Kartheek, a polio patient, and then ended his life by cutting his own throat, reportedly distressed over his prolonged illness and his son’s physical condition. Their bodies were found lying in a pool of blood.
Neighbours alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
Bhumaiah is survived by his wife and daughter. He was reportedly depressed due to his long-standing health issues. Further details are awaited.
