A tragic incident unfolded in Vadlur village, Bejjanki mandal, Siddipet district, where financial distress and family issues reportedly drove Jakkani Satyanarayana to kill his mother and son before ending his own life.
Siddipet: Financial distress and family issues reportedly drove a man to kill his mother and son before hanging himself at Vadlur village in Bejjanki mandal on Saturday.
According to police, Jakkani Satyanarayana (51) allegedly attacked his mother, Yashodha (68), and his son, Suresh (24), with a sharp weapon, killing them on the spot. He later ended his life by hanging himself.
The incident came to light on Saturday morning when the three failed to wake up. Neighbours, suspecting something was amiss, forcibly opened the house and found the bodies.
Villagers said Satyanarayana had been running a hotel in the village until a few days ago and was reportedly facing financial problems. Police registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
