Man kills mother in Ranga Reddy for refusing alcohol money
In a tragic incident in Ranga Reddy district, a 48-year-old woman named Yellamma was allegedly killed by her son Srikanth after she refused to give him money for alcohol. Police registered a case and are investigating the incident
Hyderabad: A woman was killed allegedly by her son at Manchal mandal of Ranga Reddy district when she refused to give him money to buy alcohol.
Yellamma (48) was married to Somaiah, and they had three children. The family stayed at Arutla village in Manchal mandal of Ranga Reddy district.
According to the police, Yellamma’s elder son, Srikanth (32), was addicted to alcohol and often harassed her for money to buy alcohol. “On Friday night, Srikanth came home and asked his mother for some money to buy alcohol. When she refused, he took an iron rod and hit her on the head. She suffered injuries and died while being shifted to hospital,” said. Manchal Inspector, A Madhu.
On a complaint, the police registered a case and are investigating.
