Hyderabad: A woman was allegedly murdered by her husband in an inebriated condition following a heated argument at their house in at Nandigama in Ranga Reddy district on Tuesday.

The suspect E.Balaraju (35) and his wife Sunitha alias Saritha (30), both construction workers, along with their three-year-old daughter lived at Venkammaguda in Nandigama.

According to the police, the couple has been having frequent quarrels for the past several days over trivial issues. Balaraju harassed Saritha, both mentally and physically.
Even late night on Tuesday, he came home in an inebriated condition and picked up a fight with his wife following which he grabbed a stone and attacked her on head. “She sustained grievous head injuries and died on the spot,” police said.

The locals alerted the Nandigama police, who visited the spot and examined it.

A murder case was booked and being investigated. Balaraju was arrested and produced before the court for remanding in judicial custody.
