Hyderabad: A 34-year-old man died while trying to save his friend who was being attacked by a group of persons at LB Nagar on Saturday night.

According to the police, the victim Narsimha Reddy, who works at a private company was staying at Almasguda in Meerpet and had gone to LB Nagar along with his friends to attend a liquor party.


Narsimha Reddy along with Ghouse, Tilak, Banu and others consumed liquor near the KK Gardens in LB Nagar. On Saturday night, the victim was sitting along with his group of friends when a quarrel broke out between Tilak and Manik over some personal issue between them. After the quarrel, Manik left the place and a few minutes later came along with his elder brother Gautham, Manoj and others.

“All of them attacked Tilak with iron rods, when Narsimha Reddy, Ghouse and others intervened and save Tilak they were also attacked. Narsimha sustained serious injuries and died on the spot,” said LB Nagar Inspector, K Ashok Reddy. On information, the police reached the spot and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital for autopsy. A case is registered and efforts started to nab the suspects in the case.
