Hyderabad: A man was found murdered in a secluded spot at Papireddy Colony in Chandanagar on Wednesday.
The victim, Anjaneyulu alias Anji (32), a construction worker from Papireddy Colony, was attacked with a broken liquor bottle on his neck and died on the spot.
According to the police, Nagesh, a local resident was found drinking openly near a place of worship, and Anji who noticed it, asked Nagesh to leave the place. He however refused and started abusing Anji. During the argument that ensued, Nagesh broke a beer bottle and slit Anji’s throat, police said.
The Chandanagar police have taken up investigation and shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
