Hyderabad: A man, who allegedly attempted to die by suicide by hanging at his house in Keesara, was rescued by the police patrol mobile and Blue Colt staff of the Keesara police here on Wednesday late night.
The man, aged 30 years and a construction worker by profession, was reportedly upset over family problems and attempted to die by suicide at 10.30 pm. His relatives noticed him attempting suicide and immediately called the Dial -100 facility, who alerted the Keesara police. The patrol mobile vehicle and Blue Colt staff – Ramulu, Mahender, Shanoor Babum and Surender, who were patrolling in the area rushed to the spot immediately.
“They reached the spot within a few minutes of receiving the call and pulled the man down by loosening the noose from his neck. They then counseled him and handed over to his parents,” officials said.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M.Bhagwat appreciated the cops for their timely response and said they would be suitably rewarded.
