Man stabbed to death by brother over family dispute in Kanchanbagh
A 30-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his brother during a quarrel at their sister’s house in Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad, on Saturday night. Police said the accused stabbed him in the chest with a kitchen knife before fleeing the scene.

Hyderabad: A man was murdered at Kanchanbagh allegedly by his own brother over some family issues on Saturday night.
According to the police, the victim Shaikh Muqtar, (30), went to attend a function at the house of his sister located at Hafez Babanagar when there was an argument between Muqtar and his parents. Muqtar’s elder brother Shaik Ishaq, alias Essa, intervened and tried to pacify it.
“A quarrel broke out between Ishaq and Muqtar, in the house. In a fit of rage, Ishaq went into the kitchen, took a knife and stabbed on the chest of Muqtar,” said Kachanbagh Inspector, Y Kamala Kumar.
Muqtar was rushed to a private hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The Kanchanbagh police registered a case and are investigating. Efforts are on to nab Ishaq who went absconding.
