Man stabbed to death in broad daylight in temple town Bhadrachalam
A shocking murder in broad daylight has rattled Bhadrachalam, where 19-year-old Sajja Ravi Varma of Paloncha was stabbed to death near a wine shop on Wednesday evening. Police have launched an investigation.

Kothagudem: The residents of temple town of Bhadrachalam had a rude shock as a man was stabbed to death in broad daylight in front of a wine shop on main road in the town on Wednesday evening.
The incidents of broad daylight murders, which have often occurred in Hyderabad and other places in the past, took place in the town as passersby watched it happening. It was said that a few drunk youths had a clash with the deceased, Sajja Ravi Varma of Paloncha. He was said to have visited his relatives at Rajupet near Bhadrachalam.
Though it was not clear what triggered the violent act by the youths it was said the deceased tried to stop the youths who were found beating an old man following an argument that started after two bikes collided slightly.
The youths were said to have clashed with a wine shop owner at Yetapaka in Andhra Pradesh prior to the Bhadrachalam incident. The assailants walked away after stabbing the man indiscriminately and leaving him on the road with bleeding injuries.
The locals rushed Ravi Varma to Bhadrachalam Area Hospital for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead. The local police rushed to the spot and took up the investigation.
It is noteworthy that there have been many incidents of rowdy elements creating trouble by clashing on the roads under the influence of alcohol and ganja in Bhadrachalam town. The locals are demanding the authorities take strict measures to curtail belt shops as well as supply of ganja in the town.
