Hyderabad: A man was stabbed, allegedly by his brother-in-law, over a family dispute at Gachibowli on Friday. The suspect, identified as Malla Reddy, was married to Jyothsna, both doctors by profession. The two, according to the police, were having frequent arguments, following which Jyothsna recently went to stay with her parents at Chandranaik Thanda. Even after several requests from Malla Reddy, she did not return.
Malla Reddy then went to his in-laws’ house with a knife and started arguing. Jyothsna’s brother Shivanand Reddy and her sister intervened in the fight, following which Malla Reddy stabbed Shivanand Reddy on his back with the knife. He then fled the spot.
Shivanand Reddy was shifted to the hospital where he was stated to be out of danger. The Gachibowli police booked a case and arrested Malla Reddy.
