Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A man stabbed his father-in-law to death following some family disputes in Kaghaznagar on Monday night. The incident came to light on Tuesday.
Kaghaznagar police said that the deceased was identified as Gauthre Gangaram (55), a mason from Shivapur, who is residing at a petrol pump in the town. The accused was his son-in-law Palakurthi Gopi, a car driver belonging to Shivapuram.
Gangaram received fatal chest injuries when Gopi attacked him with a knife after entering into a heated argument with the former. He was rushed to a hospital, but was declared dead. It is learned Gangaram questioned Gopi for staying idle and not taking care of his daughter Priyanka for quite a long time, resulting in the scuffle.
Gopi married Priyanka after they fell in love four years ago. Padma, the wife of Gangaram, lodged a complaint with police. A case was registered against Gopi. Investigations got underway. The body was shifted to Sirpur (T) government hospital for a post-mortem.
