Hyderabad: A man died, allegedly of asphyxiation, after a fire broke out in a waste oil store-house at Mallapur in Nacharam on Wednesday. The cause of the fire is yet to be known.
The victim, identified as P Anil Kumar Goud (33), a resident of Green Hills Colony in Mallapur, for his business had stored oil in the ground floor of his multi-storied residence. According to the police, the incident occurred around 1 pm, when Anil Kumar was working in the store house. Fire suddenly erupted in the room and with the presence of oil and other inflammable material, soon engulfed the entire room.
“He was trapped inside the room and started shouting out for help. His wife and neighbours tried to douse the fire, but could not,” police said, adding that Fire department officials rushed to the spot and doused off the fire. They found Anil Kumar dead inside.
