Man who robbed women after sex in 30 cases nabbed in Hyderabad
The man, Hussain Khan, 46, was nabbed by the Rachakonda Central Crime Station police, who said he targeted women at toddy compounds, lured them offering money for sexual activity and then decamped with their valuables.
Hyderabad: A man, who was involved in around 30 cases of cheating and theft, in which he lured women promising money for sex and then robbed them, was arrested by the Rachakonda Police on Thursday.
The man, Hussain Khan, 46, was nabbed by the Rachakonda Central Crime Station police, who said he targeted women at toddy compounds, lured them offering money for sexual activity and then decamped with their valuables. The police seized cash, gold and other material worth Rs. 3.9 lakh from him.
Khan, a vegetable vendor from Ghatkesar mandal in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, was involved in 30 cases including two rape cases in Hayathnagar, police said.
Speaking to the media, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M. Bhagwat said Khan was a solo offender and targeted women found alone in toddy compounds.
“He convinced the women about having sexual activity by luring them with money. Those who fell into his trap were taken on his scooter to secluded spots on the city outskirts. There, he asked them to keep their jewelry, cash and other valuables in the scooter’s dickey,” Bhagwat said.
After participating in sexual activity, he diverted their attention and fled the spot with their valuables. Recently, on May 1, he targeted a woman at Jillelaguda toddy compound and after sexual activity with her, he stole Rs 2,500 from her and fled the spot.
Khan was last arrested by the Gopalapuram police in 2016 and detained under the Preventive Detention Act in the Central Prison in Cherlapally.
