Two killed as dispute turns violent in Telangana’s Peddapalli
Family members of Moutam Maraiah and his wife Kanakamma, who were engaged in a dispute, attack each other; Moutam Mallesh from Odela mandal and Gandla Ganapathi from Peddapalli die on the spot

Karimnagar: Two persons died and three others sustained serious injuries in a group clash that took place near Suglampalli in Sultanabad municipality limits on Tuesday. Moutam Mallesh (40) from Odela mandal and Gandla Ganapathi from Peddapalli died on the spot.
According to police, Moutam Maraiah and his wife Kanakamma were engaged in a dispute, which had not been solved though they had approached the police as well as elders’ panchayats.
Both the sides then decided to solve the dispute by discussing the issue once again and gathered at the spot.
While the issue was being discussed in the panchayat, family members of Kanakamma attacked Maraiah’s family members with knives. In retaliation, Maraiah’s family members also attacked the opponents. As a result, two persons including Moutam Mallesh, Maraiah’s brother, and Gandla Ganesh, who attended the panchayat in support of Kanakamma, died on the spot. The three persons who sustained serious injuries in the group clash were shifted to Karimnagar hospital.
On learning about the incident, Sultanabad CI Subba Reddy and SI Sravan Kumar visited the spot and began investigation after registering the case.
