Man with bullock cart drowns in stream in Kothagudem
Sources said Nagaraju (33) of Ashok Nagar Colony in Laxmidevipally mandal used to excavate and transport sand illegally on his bullock cart. Even though the water level in the stream was high due to recent rains, he ventured into the current on a bullock cart.
Kothagudem: A man engaged in alleged illegal transportation of sand from Munneru stream drowned in the stream on Wednesday.
Sources said Nagaraju (33) of Ashok Nagar Colony in Laxmidevipally mandal used to excavate and transport sand illegally on his bullock cart. Even though the water level in the stream was high due to recent rains, he ventured into the current on a bullock cart.
He was caught in a strong current and drowned along with two bullocks. The bodies of the man and cattle were recovered from the stream. The local police booked a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
