Manakondur MLA faces ire of local people
Manakondur MLA Kavvampally Satyanarayana was stopped by villagers in Balaiahpalli, Karimnagar, who staged a protest demanding the gram panchayat office be built at a neutral location between Balaiahpalli and Sahebpalli, rather than exclusively in Balaiahpalli. Police intervened to pacify residents
Karimnagar: Manakondur MLA Kavvampally Satyanarayana tasted the ire of local people in Balaiahpalli of Thimmapur mandal on Friday. Local people staged a protest demonstration demanding the construction of the gram panchayat building between Balaiahpalli and Sahebpalli villages instead of at Balaiahpalli.
When the legislator arrived at the village, local people holding placards rushed to his vehicle and prevented him from alighting and raised slogans against him. The agitators alleged that the government was doing injustice to other village by constructing a gram panchayat office in Balaiahpalli.
Asking the district collector to consider their appeal, they wanted the government to construct the gram panchayat office in between both the villages. Police swung into action and pacified agitating people.
