Manasa Institute celebrates Teachers’ Day with seminar on inclusive education

Manasa Institute of Child Health & Disability Studies hosted a Teachers’ Day seminar highlighting the role of special educators in identifying and nurturing every child’s potential. Speakers stressed individualised support, while celebrating teachers, therapists, parents and caregivers supporting children.

Hyderabad: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Manasa Institute of Child Health & Disability Studies organised a special seminar on the theme ‘The Art of Seeing Possibilities in Every Child: The Role of Special Educators in Nurturing Potential.’

The programme brought together special educators, therapists, parents, caregivers, support staff and the children of Manasa to celebrate the dedication and transformative role of teachers and special educators.


Addressing the gathering Dr K Santhosh Kumar, Associate Dean, School of Healthcare, Rishihood University and Member, Medical Advisory Council, NMC, highlighted that special educators are teachers not only to children but also to their parents.

Prof P Venkateshwar Rao, Chairman, Ekalavya Grameena Vikas Foundation, emphasised the need for teachers to recognise the unique circumstances and abilities of every child and respond according to the child’s individual needs and present level of development.

Srihari Mangalampalli, Film Writer & Producer, delivered a motivational address, and Tera Prashanth Reddy, Entrepreneur, acknowledged the difficulties involved in imparting education and life skills and observed that the challenges are even greater in the field of special education.
