Mancherial: The Aam Admi Party district secretary and Right to Information Act activist Nayeem Pasha was injured in an attack by unidentified persons at Thallapet village in Naspur mandal on Wednesday.

Pasha said that unidentified persons arrived on a motorbike and assaulted him with a boulder at a house site near the village and fled the spot within no time. He received head injuries and underwent treatment at the Government General Hospital. He has lodged a complaint with Naspur police.

Meanwhile, AAP district convenor Nalla Nagendra Prasad condemned the attack on Nayeem. He wanted the police to take stringent action against the assaulters by identifying them at the earliest. He alleged that some public representatives were hatching a conspiracy against the leader for exposing wrongdoings of their followers using the RTI Act.
