Mancherial: The Mancherial district president of BJP Verabelli Raghunath Rao has demanded that the government extend the Dalit Bandhu scheme to all eligible beneficiaries without interference of local public representatives.
In a letter submitted to Additional Collector D Madhusudan Naik on Monday, Raghunath Rao alleged that eligible persons were unable to avail the benefits of the scheme due to growing involvement of local elected representatives in choosing the beneficiaries. He alleged that only activists and leaders of TRS were being selected as beneficiaries. He wanted the government to cover all the dalits in place of 100 beneficiaries from each Assembly constituency.
District party leaders Andugula Srinivas, Kollaya Emaji, Arumula Posham, Sappidi Naresh, Patthi Srinivas, Jogula Sridevi, Bodduna Mallesh, Vangapalli Venkateshwar, Paidimalla Narsing, Mudam Mallesh, Bodakunta Prabha, DA Dikshitulu, Gajula Prabhakar, Boyini Lalitha, Arnakonda Srinivas, Rachakonda Satyanarayana, Boyini Devender, Palli Rakesh, Srivastava, Gatla Dayakar and Jadi Satyanarayana were present.
