Mancherial Collector felicitated for winning National Water Award
Mancherial district received a national award under the Jal Sanchay–Jan Bhagidari category at the 6th National Water Awards 2024. Officials felicitated Collector Kumar Deepak for the achievement. The award recognised the district’s outstanding performance in completing 5.20 lakh water conservation works

Mancherial: Officials from various departments congratulated Collector Kumar Deepak for bringing recognition to the district by winning a national award under the Jal Sanchay–Jan Bhagidari (Water Conservation–Public Participation) category at the 6th National Water Awards 2024, announced by the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti. They felicitated Kumar Deepak with a shawl here on Thursday.
Adilabad, Nalgonda and Mancherial districts were chosen for the award considering their outstanding performance in completing 5.20 lakh works taken up under the Jal Sanchay and Jan Bhagidari initiative. The district received Rs.2 crore under the award. The National Water Awards were introduced in 2018 to encourage effective practices in the utilisation of water resources.
