Mancherial: A young daily wager was arrested for allegedly involving in extortions from traders by posing as a cop in Mancherial on Wednesday.
Mancherial Assistant Commissioner of Police Akhi Mahajan said that the accused Mohammad Raheem (27), a resident of NTR Nagar in Mancherial town, demanded money from one trader Sunil Sharma in the name of a Police Inspector of Mancherial police station on October 25. The ACP reiterated that policemen would never demand money from anybody for discharging their duties under the purview of the law.
