Mancherial DCO arrested while accepting bribe of Rs.2 lakh from an employee
Mancherial’s district Cooperative Officer, Rathod Bikku, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for allegedly accepting a Rs. 2 lakh bribe from a cooperative bank employee. He was caught red-handed and sent to judicial remand in Karimnagar.

Mancherial: The District Cooperative Officer (DCO) was arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials allegedly while accepting a bribe of Rs.2 lakh from the employee of a cooperative bank here on Saturday.
ACB DSP Madhu said DCO Rathod Bikku was apprehended when he was receiving the bribe from cooperative bank employee to withdraw a complaint lodged against him, to pay salaries during the period of suspension and not to take action against him based on an inquiry report.
According to ACB officials, the DCO harassed the employee demanding bribe of Rs.7 lakh. He agreed to accept Rs.5 lakh after being repeatedly requested. However, the employee approached the ACB, who in turn laid the trap and took the official into custody red-handed.
Bikku was produced before a special court for ACB cases in Karimnagar and was sent to judicial remand.
