Mancherial: Dr M Neha, a young MBBS graduate and the only daughter of ENT surgeon Dr Phani Kumar and gynecologist Dr Jayalalitha of Mancherial, died of a heart attack in Goa on Sunday morning. Her body was brought to Mancherial town on Sunday evening and final rites were performed on Monday.

According to the family, Neha (24) died of cardiac arrest in Goa where she was celebrating her 23rd birthday with friends. She had left home on Thursday, celebrated the occasion on a grand note and later spoke to her parents. She complained of chest pain and died on the spot at around 4 am on Sunday.


Mancherial MLA N Diwakar Rao and members of Indian Medical Association, Mancherial chapter, conveyed condolences to Phani Kumar and Jayalalitha. Neha was preparing for the entrance exam for post-graduation course in medicine. She graduated from Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad, in 2020.
