Mancherial: Former Hajipur MPP assaulted
Manda Srinivas' wife, Swarnalatha alleged that some Congress activists assaulted Srinivas by stopping his car, while police shifted him while he was being treated at a private hospital to some unknown place.
Mancherial: Former Hajipur Vice Mandal Parishad president Manda Srinivas was attacked, allegedly by Congress workers, at Rapalli village in Hajipur mandal on Friday.
His wife, Swarnalatha alleged that some Congress activists assaulted Srinivas by stopping his car, while police shifted him while he was being treated at a private hospital to some unknown place. She stated that the police would be responsible if something happens to her husband. She added that Srinivas was assaulted as per a conspiracy hatched by Congress leaders.
Former MLA N Diwakar Rao met Srinivas at the private hospital and condemned the attack on the MPP. He said Congress workers were attacking BRS members to take revenge. He demanded police to take stringent action against those who assaulted Srinivas.
In a statement issued by police, Srinivas was booked for allegedly attempting to murder to Denaveni Rajashekhar, Thangella Ramesh and Thangella Rajalingu from Rapalli village by hitting them with an iron with an intention to kill them. A case was registered against Rajashekhar, Ramesh and Rajalingu for attacking Srinivas.
