Mancherial: Around 1,000 women and artistes of Kolatam, a folk dance form, etched their mass dancing feat in the book of Bharat World Records (BWC) at a programme held by Crazy Stars Dance Academy in Mandamarri on Thursday.
KV Ramana Rao, coordinator of the organisation, said the attempt by the artistes was recognised and entered in the book of the BWC. He, along with Zilla Parishad Chairperson Nalla Bhagyalaxmi, handed over the certificate of recognition and a memento to Naresh, general secretary of Crazy Stars Dance Academy.
Naresh thanked the participants belonging to the district and those who extended their cooperation in making the event a success. He also congratulated the dancers. Senior folk dance artiste Anthadupula Nagaraju and others were present.
