Mancherial man dies after being hit by car

A 51-year-old man from Ankathpalli village died while undergoing treatment in Karimnagar after being hit by a car on November 5. His wife lodged a complaint, and police registered a hit and run case against the unidentified driver

Mancherial: A 51-year-old man, who sustained serious injuries when a car mowed him down while he was crossing a road at Ankathpalli village on November 5, died while being treated at a hospital in Karimnagar on Thursday night.

Police said that Embadi Rajalingu received grievous injuries after being knocked down by the car on the outskirts of the village. He was immediately shifted to a hospital in Karimnagar. He succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment at around 11 pm.


Embadi Bhagyalaxmi, wife of Rajalingu, lodged a complaint with the police. A case of hit and run was registered against the driver of the car. Investigations were taken up.
