Mancherial Mayor inaugurates multi-sports centre
Mancherial Municipal Corporation Mayor Dharani Madhu inaugurated the NSS Drive Inn multi-sports centre on Friday. Founded by record-holder Konda Siddharth, the facility aims to promote a healthy sporting culture among children and youth, offering box cricket, football and sand volleyball.

Mancherial: Mancherial Municipal Corporation Mayor Dharani Madhu said playing sports enhances mental growth among children and youth. Along with local councillor Neeli Swapna, he formally inaugurated a multi-sports centre, titled NSS Drive Inn, here on Friday. The centre was founded by Konda Siddharth, a young record holder for the longest motorcycle ride in the country from the town.
Speaking on the occasion, Siddharth said the initiative was aimed at introducing a new and healthy culture in his hometown. It is not just a business project, but an innovative endeavour aimed at providing a healthy and happy environment for youth and children in the Mancherial district headquarters, he said. Sports such as box cricket, football and sand volleyball are available at the centre.
In 2025, Siddharth entered the Asia Book of Records for successfully completing the longest non-repetitive motorcycle expedition spanning nearly 41,000 km and covering all States and one union Territory in 96 days.
