Mancherial: Members of Munnurukapu community extended financial aid of Rs 45,000 to a financially weak girl helping her parents to perform her marriage. The girl hails from Debbati Jhansi of Nennal mandal centre.
They handed over the money to Debbati Jhansi and her family members on Sunday.
District Munnurukapu youth wing president Akula Suri Patel said that they had raised Rs 45,000 for the wedding of Jhansi after coming to know her plight through social media platforms.
He expressed gratitude to those who voluntarily contributed funds for the cause.
He stated that they could donate the funds with the help of their friends and local philanthropists.
