Mancherial: Protection of Thollavagu urged
Nalla Nagendraprasad, AAP district convener in the representation, expressed concern over encroachment of Thollavagu.
Mancherial: Members of Aam Aadmi Party’s Mancherial unit submitted a representation to Collector Kumar Deepak seeking his intervention to protect Thollavagu flows in the town from encroachers at Prajavani or weekly grievance redressal programme held here on Monday.
Nalla Nagendraprasad, AAP district convener in the representation, expressed concern over encroachment of Thollavagu. He said that multi-storied buildings and other structures were being built on the buffer zone and bed of the stream, affecting its course and resulting in inundation of low-lying areas in monsoon. The convener requested the Collector to take steps to prevent the stream from being occupied. He wanted him to take action against officials who granted permission to construct buildings along the banks of the stream.
