Mancherial: C Babji, an English language teacher working in a government school in Kasipet, donated blood to the needy for a record 64th time on Friday. Hailing from Somagudem village, Babji came forward to donate blood at a blood bank in Mancherial town, exemplifying his social responsibility and displaying humanity.
He was lauded by colleagues and students for coming to the rescue of the needy and setting an example for others in serving the community. He has already donated his blood platelets thrice. Babji received a certificate of appreciation for rendering outstanding services to the education department in the past. He is known for organising awareness programmes and social service activities.
