Mancherial: In two seperate incidents, two persons were killed when trucks dashed against the two-wheelers in which they were travelling in Mancherial district. in the first instance, A tractor driver died and another person sustained serious injuries when a sand-laden lorry mowed down a two-wheeler on which they were travelling at a cross road on the outskirts of Chennur town on Wednesday. Chennur sub-inspector B Venkat Swamy said that the deceased was identified as Edula Kishtaih (35), a tractor driver and the injured Konka Pocham (45), agriculture labourer, belonging to Kothapalli village in Kotapalli mandal.
Kishtaiah received fatal injuries, while Pocham had minor injuries when the truck, coming from a quarry of Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation (TSMDC) near Kollur village, collided against the two-wheeler at Suddala cross roads. He succumbed to injuries while being rushed to a hospital in Chennur. Medical condition of Pocham is said to be critical. They were returning to their village after attending a marriage party at the time of the mishap. Based on a complaint received from Bapu, sibling of Kishtaiah, a case was registered against the driver of the lorry Battula Sekhar belonging to Jagadevpet village in Jagtial mandal. Investigation was taken up.
In a separate incident, a 22-year old died on the spot and his friend received injuries when a truck collided with a motorcycle at Buruguvelli village in Bheemaram mandal. The deceased was Ravi (22) and injured Bunny, both of them were residents of Buruguvelli village, Bheemaram Sub-Inspector Ashok said.
