Manhunt launched to nab film financer who confined, raped servant in Hyderabad

The woman aged about 45 years joined work at the house of the businessman last month and since was confined in a room by him.

Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills police have launched a manhunt to nab a film financer who allegedly confined his woman servant in a room for two weeks and sexually assaulted her. The woman aged about 45 years joined work at the house of the busin essman last month and since was confined in a room by him.

“In her complaint, the woman stated that she had joined work at the house of the businessman who stays in an apartment at Filmnagar,” said the Banjara Hills police. On Friday, the woman informed about her problem to her daughter who lives in Andhra Pradesh over phone. On being alerted, the Banjara Hills police rescued the woman. Two teams have been formed by the police to nab the suspect who reportedly went absconding following the raid on his house.
