As ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ clocks 15 years recently, celebrity designer Manish Malhotra looks back at his work.
Talking about his experience working with filmmaker Karan Johar, the designer shares a big note on Instagram: “Karan and me, from Mumbai to London to New York, our endless discussions would go on,” he wrote adding, that the sad title track had “18 changes” for Rani Mukherjee in the end.
“Designing and styling the entire star cast, and (the) months in New York is one of my best experiences,” he expressed with #memoriesforlife and #funtimes in the end.
The ace designer also shared that all that work for the film was done by him and his only seamster. “Those days, it was only me and my one seamster working and (it) would be days of shopping/fittings/alterations/being on sets and then again shopping all being done with the passion and love for cinema and getting to know NYC better (as) a city I began to love,” the designer shared along with a clip from the 2006 movie.
