Sangareddy: At a time when there was a serious shortage of water in Singur, a Manjeera pipeline developed a massive leakage near Sadasivapet town along NH-65 on Friday. A huge amount of water was wasted due to the leak.
Following a complaint from locals, Mission Bhagiratha officials reached the spot, stopped the leakage and began repair works.
However, Mission Bhagiratha EE Vijayalakshmi said the water supply would remain suspended for at least two days in Kondapur, Sadasivapet, Patancheru and Sangareddy mandals and the municipalities located within them. She added that the department would restore water supply immediately after the works were completed.
