Hyderabad: People from different sections, including leaders from political parties, have condemned BJP’s tactics of making derogatory statements on family members and body shaming Industries Minister KT Rama Rao’s son K Himanshu Rao.
Q News, a social media channel, had conducted a public opinion poll and had asked people as to where development had taken place. Was it at Bhadrachalam temple or Himanshu’s body?
YSR Telangana Party chief YS Sharmila on Saturday tweeted, “As a mother, I detest bullying kids and as a leader of a political party, I condemn such derogatory statements on family members. Whether it is belittling women or body shaming kids, we must come together to call out such statements, irrespective of our political affiliations.”
Health Minister T Harish Rao tweeted, “Dragging families, finding ways to humiliate them and now oiling their social media machinery to spread malicious information is a well-known strategy of the BJP. If they think they can restrain us, I want to remind them that we are a rock solid wall which can never be broken.”
Telangana Media Academy Chairman Allam Narayana in a statement condemned the actions of Chintapandu Naveen, alias Teen Maar Mallanna through his Youtube channel Q News for indulging in body shaming of Himanshu.
This is highly condemnable. The language he used in the channel was against the values of journalism and no one would entertain such derogatory remarks, he said, terming Mallanna’s remarks in the name of freedom of speech as undemocratic.
Forest Minister A Indrakaran Reddy tweeted, “BJP leaders are stooping so low to a new level. Attacking and abusing children and family members is nothing but cheap and ugliest form of politics. BJP should know that these personal attacks and fake propagandas on social media will never stop us from serving the people.”
Jayaprakash Reddy, a twitter user, tweeted, “Mallanna should apologise to KTR and Son. Unhealthy politics and journalism. Of course, Mallanna is angry for filing more than forty cases against him but he should fight as per law but not drag the family members into streets.”
