Hyderabad: Highlighting the strategic vision and leadership demonstrated by the BRS Supremo, K Chanrashekhar Rao, which has been the crucial factor behind resilience shown by the organization, party working president K T Rama Rao recalled that many people had dreamt of diminishing the party reach and influence, but they had not succeeded. They got themselves finished today instead of finishing the BRS.

Addressing a meeting of the party workers at Telangana Bhavan, where some Congress leaders including former MLAs joined the party, he said despite facing various challenges and opposition, KCR and the BRS have continued to grow stronger. The party was due for a bigger comeback as a formidable force in the State. Being in the opposition, the party has got the opportunity to engage more effectively with the public and address their concerns.

Referring to the Congress Party plotting to implicate him in issues and see him arrested for the fault of exposing it thoroughly for its corruption and failures, he warned that this plan would not succeed as the Congress leadership hopes. Referring to party men from Manikonda, who took part in the gathering in big numbers, over 10, 000 activists would rise up even from such a place to take on Revanth Reddy, in the event of his arrest. Congress will see many more activists like Sabitakka up in arms, he asserted

Hinting at a possible nexus between the Congress and the BJP, he said the Congress Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, who had often been talking of political bombs exploding in the state, was raided by the Enforcement Directorate. Cash counting machines were engaged for days before formal seizures were made by the agency. But there was no action against him for over 4O days , he said, attributing it to a possible understanding between the two parties in power.

Stating that there would be no murders to be committed in politics, but only suicides, he said no one can obliterate the name of KCR from the hearts of the people. People dreaming of erasing the name of KCR would end up falling in oblivion.

“Musi me luto, Delhi me bato”

Launching a scathing attack on the Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy for what he termed as “Musi me luto, Delhi me bato” policy, Rama Rao questioned the staggering Rs 1.5 lakh crore investment planned in the Musi rejuvenation project, suggesting that the funds could be better utilized elsewhere. He also criticized the plan to unveil the tallest Mahatma Gandhi statue, suggesting that it is propped up by Nathuram Godse’s ideology, referring to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s past political affiliations with the RSS. He warned that this move might not augur well.
