Many trains to Tirupati cancelled for electrification works

The trains cancelled include No.02708 Tirupati-Visakhapatnam Double Decker special express on from March 5 to 12 in both the directions

Visakhapatnam: Due to the proposed remodeling works of the Tirupati railway station, for non-interlocking, pre-non-interlocking and electrification works in Renigunta-Tirupati section, the Railways has announced cancellation, partial cancellation and diversion of many trains.

The trains cancelled include No.02708 Tirupati-Visakhapatnam Double Decker special express on from March 5 to 12 in both the directions, No. 07479 Tirupati-Puri special express from March 5 to 12 in both the directions, No.07481 Tirupati-Bilaspur special express from March 7 to 13 in both the directions, No.08479 Bhubaneswar-Tirupati special express leaving Bhubaneswar on March 6 and in the return direction on March 7 and the no. 02071/02072 Bhubaneswar-Tirupati special express trains on both the directions on March 7 and 8.

Partial cancellation of trains include No.02707 Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Double Decker special express which will be short terminated at Renigunta and partially cancelled between Renigunta-Tirupati while train No.07488 Visakhapatnam-Cudappah special express leaving Visakhapatnam on 10th and 11 March-2021 and in return direction the train No. 07487 Cudappah-Visakhapatnam special express leaving Cudappah on 11th and 12th March-2021 will skip the Tirupati railway station.

Also, some trains which will be diverted via Katpadi-Melpakkam and Renigunta include No. 02659 Nagarcoil-Shalimar express leaving Nagarcoil on March 7, No. 02890 Yesvantpur-Tata express leaving Yesvantpur on March 8 and No.02836 Yesvantpur-Hatia express leaving Yesvantpur on March 11.
