Maoist member surrenders before police in AP’s ASR district

Kothagudem: CPI (Maoist) party Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee Maad division’s 1st Platoon, 1st Company member Muchaki Unga alias Kishore of Sukma district in Chhattisgarh surrendered before Alluri Sitarama Raju district police and CRPF 212 Bn officials.

Unga surrendered before Superintendent of Police Amit Bardar, CRPF 212 BN Commandant Deepak Kumar Srivastav and Additional SP (Operations) Jagadeesh Adahalli. He joined Maoist party as a dalam member in the Kistaram area committee in July 2020, when he was 17 years old.


He was appointed as a guard of SZCM (North Sub Zonal Bureau) military in-charge Ramder alias Beeju in August 2021. After some time, he was transferred to 1st Company 1st Platoon in January 2022. Unga took part in many violent acts.

As per surrender and rehabilitation policy, Unga would be rewarded Rs 1 lakh, which was announced over his head by the Chhattisgarh government. CRPF 212 Bn second-in-command Dinesh Kumar, Yetapaka CI M Kannaparaju, SI G Appalaraju and others were present.
